Individual Interviews
What Are the Individual Interviews?
As part of the federally mandated relocation process, each household currently residing at the Courtyards at Waipouli will participate in a required individual interview with the relocation team. These interviews are a critical step to ensure every tenant receives fair and personalized support based on their unique circumstances.
Why Are These Interviews Required?
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is committed to a relocation process that is respectful, compliant with federal law, and responsive to individual household needs. These interviews, required under the Uniform Relocation Act (URA), help the relocation team determine:
Eligibility for relocation assistance
Household needs (e.g., number of bedrooms, accessibility, location preferences)
Any language or mobility accommodations needed
Placement timing based on the construction schedule
When Will the Interviews Take Place?
Start Date: Interviews are currently underway
Scheduling: The relocation team will contact each household directly to arrange a convenient time
